Costa Ballena -
the crowning jewel of the Costa de la Luz |
| |
|
|
 |
| |
|
|
This absolutely
gorgeous stretch of coastline facing the Atlantic Ocean is approx. 4
kms long and lies midway between the towns of Chipiona (pop. c.
18,000) and Rota (pop. c. 27,000).
A veritable paradise of virgin beaches, undulating sand dunes and
crystal clear waters. |
|
|
Situated right in the heart of the
Costa de la Luz, the Costa Ballena development is home to a number
of super de-luxe apartments, townhouses and villas, yet only 25% of
the 400 hectare area (1,000 acres) has homes built on it.
The rest of the development is taken up by green areas with
gardens, parks, orchards, lakes, beaches and a golf course. The
planning of the resort was very strict; properties had to be a
maximum of three floors high and a minimum of 300 metres from the
shoreline.
The Costa Ballena Golf
Club is among the top tourism and golfing complexes in Spain and is
situated in one of the most beautiful nature parks in all of
Europe.
|
 |
The golf course covers an area of more than 100 hectares, has 27
holes with wide tees and is one of the longest in the country,
measuring 6,036 metres for men and 5,155 for women. It is a par 72
and has 0 slopes.
The complex also has
one of the best practice courses in Europe, with a large driving
range of 345 metres in width and 350 metres long. This allows for
more than 120 players to practice at the same time, all on grass.
To date those looking at the
Costa de la Luz as the place to buy property, have been tending to
look at either the north end around Ayamonte and Huelva, or the
southern end around Tarifa and Vejer de la Frontera. |
 |
|
Here at Costa Ballena we are in the middle, just north of the Bay of
Cadiz. Here you will find luxury and tranquility, and yet with
three small shopping centres, a couple of hotels, a network of brand
new roads and properties that are less than ten years old.
For example, there are complexes
of townhouses with gardens, paddle tennis courts, children’s play
areas, swimming pools and even one or two with gymnasium and jacuzzi.
These houses have air conditioning, electricity and mains gas, with
secure underground parking reserved for each property. |
 |
|
They have fully fitted kitchens,
terraces and living rooms (some overlooking the golf course), plus
most of them have large basements and roof terraces also.
Perhaps you
would prefer an apartment with a sea view, or a villa with a garden.
Any way you look at it, Costa Ballena is a fantastic location to
live in or to spend one's holidays.
Situated only
twenty minutes by car from Jerez airport and less than one hour’s
drive from Sevilla to the north and Gibraltar to the south, the
location of this stunning resort is second to none.
